Feel free to leave the umbrella at home, and grab your sunglasses before you head out the door this morning. Mostly sunny skies, and warmer temperatures are ahead for your Wednesday forecast. The lack of clouds overhead has allowed more heat to escape our region overnight, and we are starting out with cool temperatures this morning. You may want a jacket on your way out the door. Valley areas have mostly dipped into the 40's this morning, and mountain areas have dipped into the 20's to 30's overnight. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny today, and conditions will be mild. Winds will be out of the North to 10mph. Temperatures will be heating up this afternoon. Valley areas are projected to climb into the high 70's to low 80's later today, and mountain areas will top out in the 60's to 70's this afternoon.

Sunny skies, and even warmer temperatures will be ahead for the end of your work week. Valley areas will end up in the mid to high 80's on Thursday afternoon, and then in the mid 80's on Friday. Some clouds will be returning to our region on Friday afternoon, and there will be a chance for some light showers in the Northern Mountains on Friday night. Models are hinting at a slight chance for showers spreading across Northern California on Saturday. We currently have a 25 percent chance of rain in the valley on Saturday. Conditions look mostly good if you're heading to the Red Bluff Round-Up. High temperatures will be slightly cooler on Saturday. Valley areas are projected to top out in the mid 70's on Saturday afternoon. Low 80's and sunny skies will be returning for your Easter Sunday forecast. Looks like it's going to be nice for those Easter Egg hunts across Northern California. High pressure will build back into the West Coast early next week, and that is expected to result in another warming trend heading out way.

Wednesday was a scorching day for parts of the valley as northerly airflow really warmed our temperatures. The breezes will continue Thursday, but their direction will shift and it will be slightly cooler.
