Grab those sunglasses, keep the sunscreen handy, and make sure you dress for the heat before you head out the door this morning! Sunny, dry, and very warm conditions are on tap for your Monday across Northern California. The cooler system that passed through our North over the last couple of days helped to keep our high temperatures in check, but that is now off to our East for the start of your Monday. Skies are clear to start the day, and sunny skies are expected for the entire region this afternoon. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 50's in the valley this morning, and in the 30's to 40's in the mountains. Foothill areas are starting out in the mid 40's to low 50's. Winds are mostly light this morning, but will be up to 10mph out of the North this afternoon. Humidity is expected to dip to as low as 15% later today. High temperatures are projected to top out in the high 80's to low 90's in the valley, and in the high 70's to low 80's in the Foothills and mountains later today. The dry, very warm, and breezy conditions will combine to result in moderate fire danger today. Trees are still in the moderate range for your allergy report, while grass, weeds, and mold are staying in the low range today.

A modest dip in high temperatures is expected on Tuesday, and clouds will brush across the entire region. Most areas will only have a 3 to 4 degree drop in high temperatures, and will stay dry. The Northern Mountains will more than likely have scattered showers, and a slight chance for thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Another small drop in high temperatures is projected for Wednesday. Valley areas will end up in the low to mid 80's on Wednesday afternoon, and mountain areas will end up in the 60's to 70's. Skies will be clearing out again on Wednesday.

Sunny skies, and a substantial warming trend will be returning for your late week and weekend forecast. Valley areas will climb back into the high 80's to low 90's on Thursday and Friday. Sunny skies, and highs in the mid 90's are expected in the valley this weekend. It's going to be very tempting to take a dip with the warmer weather on the way, but please be careful as water flows are swift, and water temperatures are very cold with the recent snow runoff.
