It was windy with rain and snow across all of our area on Sunday. Most places getting another half inch to an inch of rain and snow. Snow levels today are still low but not quite as low as yesterday. Snow levels are near 2000' feet in the Shasta County mountains and along Highway 5. Snow levels are a little higher in Plumas and Tehama County ranging near 3000-3500'

This second in a series of storms will begin to taper off late tonight and on Monday. Still some scattered valley showers and snow showers are expected in the mountains on Monday. Then the next system arrives late Monday.

This 3rd storm on Tuesday and into Wednesday will be a little warmer so snow levels will rise to 4000-5000' feet for most of the storm. This system will also be windy and wet with another 1-2 inches of valley rain expected. Several more feet of snow will fall in the higher elevations of the mountains.

Finally it looks now like Northern California will get a brief break from the wet weather on Thursday but more storms are on the way for Friday and into next weekend.
