CHICO, Calif. – A group of future construction workers was recognized for their bright futures.
The Boys and Girls Club of the North Valley set out to teach children employability skills in construction with an innovative camp that just wrapped up.
The six-week program had kids design and build a cornhole set. Club members also heard from a panel of industry professionals about how they got started in construction work, and where that took them in their lives.
Camp members graduated last Thursday. They will now move onto a four-week program that will set them up for a job over the summer.
