Cal Fire extinguished a mobile home fire on Cherokee road in Oroville

Cal Fire reports they responded to the scene of a mobile home fire Sunday afternoon on Cherokee Road in Oroville.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Cal Fire reports they responded to the scene of a mobile home fire Sunday afternoon on Cherokee Road in Oroville. 

According to Cal Fire, on Sunday, April 26 at approximately 3:15 p.m. their units responded to reports of a fire at the 900 block of Cherokee Road in Oroville.

They said their first unit at scene reported a fully involved mobile home with approximately 1/2 acre fire spread to the vegetation.

Units at the scene stopped the forward progress of the vegetation fire within 30 minutes from the time of arrival. Resources will be committed 1 to 2 hours for mop-up and overhaul of the structure.

Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Dry conditions, warmer temperatures, and gusty north winds will drive high fire danger and a Red Flag Warning across most of northern California Monday. Winds will diminish and temperatures will warm up on Tuesday. We'll stay dry and heat up later this week. Cooler temperatures then return for your weekend.
