Run into some rain last night? There was a thunderstorm that moved through the Valley with a few more in the mountains and foothills. Today that will not be the case as we see sunny skies and highs in the mid-to-upper 70s.
Tomorrow we warm up into the low-80s with mostly sunnyskies as a weak ridge of high pressure moves in.
On Friday a large system to our North moves south. This could provide a quick shower or two for Modoc and Siskiyou counties. Otherwise, the rest of our region will remain dry. This does however cool most in the Valley down just slightly. Most will see highs in the upper-70s with mostly sunny skies and clouds increasing farther to the North.
A much stronger ridge of high pressure moves in to start you weekend and will stay with us for the rest of the forecast. This will cause sunny, dry and eventually, hot conditions. You start your memorial weekend on Saturday with highs in the upper-80s but you end on Memorial Day with highs in the mid-90s. Upper-90s to near triple digits could occur on Tuesday.
