This weekend a strong ridge of high pressure is bringing warmth and sunshine to the North State with dry conditions. Highs close to 80 degrees Saturday and Sunday with a few surpassing 80 degrees. The average first day of 80 degrees for Redding is March 20th so it is common to see warmth like this, this early in the season.
A disturbance with move into the Paacific Northwest to our north on Monday and move to our east over the Great Basin on Tuesday. This will bring strong winds on Monday, possibly into Tuesday. Wind is how the atmosphere reacts when it is out of balance. This would be thanks to the disturbance. This disturbance will also bring day time high into the mid-to-low 70s and maybe a cloud or two over the northern mountains.
Wednesday and Thursday another strong ridge of high pressure moves in increasing the amount of heat coming from the sun and leading to warmer weather. Highs could return into the mid-to-low 80s.
Friday will see a couple of clouds and some breezy weather with highs back in the 70s and then hopefully possible wet wet late next weekend into next week. The chances of returning wet weather at this moment are still not confident at this time.
