Yesterday, numerous locations broke their daily high temperature records as everyone soared into the low to mid-90s. Today, that will not be the case. We will have mostly cloudy skies today with highs back in the upper-80s.
We continue to cooling trend through the end of the week with highs in the low-80s by Friday.
This weekend a stronger system passes to our North in Washington and Oregon. It might be strong enough to swing just enough moisture our way to squeeze out a few showers or thunderstorms in the mountains. A sprinkle in Redding is also not out of the question. Highs will be back in the upper-70s for the weekend in the Valley.
Next week a strong ridge of high pressure returns to the area which will warm us up again. No 90s are in the forecast but the last day on the 7 day forecast has a return to mid-80s on Tuesday.
