Happy Thanksgiving! Today will be breezy especially in the morning and early afternoon. If you have lunch or dinner plans outside, make sure you have plenty of table weights to keep things from blowing away. Otherwise it will be nice. Highs in the mid-60s with sunny skies through the day.
Friday will be a bit cooler for most. Strong downslope winds from a low pressure system digging in from the East, lead to slightly warmer temperatures on Thanksgiving. Without those winds, it is expected to cool just a few degrees for most in the valley reaching the low-60s. Redding isn't really affected by this though and is expected to reach the mid-60s again on Friday. Friday the sunshine continues with light winds.
Overnight lows could get quite cool, with Friday & Saturday night the coolest, in particular. Valley lows in the mid-30s. This means frost development could be likely again as other conditons also favor frost development.
Everyone in the valley has highs hanging in the mid-to-low 60s through the weekend.
Monday, a system will pass to the north. This will bring showers to counties bordering Oregon. A slight chance of showers is also possible all the way down to Redding. Otherwise valley highs will be around 60 with more clouds north and less clouds south.
Mid-60s, sunny and breezy conditions expected Tuesday & Wednesday as a low pressure system drops to the east of us.
