Today will be the hottest day of the week with valley highs in the mid-to-upper 90s and sunny skies as a ridge of high pressure builds. A delta breeze returns tonight leading to a cool down this week.

Highs tomorrow will still be in the mid-90s with highs on Friday in the upper-80s to low-90s. Friday will be mostly sunny but also a chance for a few isolated thunderstorms in the mountains. A disturbance will skirt our northern regions allowing enough instability and moisture to kick off somethunderstorms. Expect gusty winds but very light precipitation with these storms.

Saturday most will see highs in the upper-80s as the disturbance moves to our south allowing some cooler air into our region. Sunday we will briefly heat up into the low-to-mid 90s.

Next week we cool down more as a broad trough of low pressure settles in. Highs on Monday will be in the upper-80s then into the mid-80s on Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and overnight lows in the mid-50s.
