We had slightly below average temperatures, moderate South winds, and light mountain and foothill showers across Northern California on Monday. There will still be a very slight chance for some light showers in the valley through this evening. Temperatures topped out in the 60's to low 70's in the valley, and in the mid 50's to low 60's in the foothills and mountains this afternoon. Winds were out of the Southeast to around 10mph in most areas, but we did see some areas where they were slightly stronger than that. The area of low pressure that brough the cooler temperatures and showers to our region today is expected to pass off to our East on Tuesday and high pressure will be building into the West Coast from the Eastern Pacific.

The ridge of high pressure off the coast of California will bring a warming trend and mostly dry weather to Northern California this week. Skies will be clearing overnight and we'll be sunny to mostly sunny for your Tuesday. Temperatures will start out in the mid to high 40's in the valley tomorrow morning and will end up in the low 80's tomorrow afternoon. Foothill areas will start out in the mid to high 40's and end up in the high 60's to low 70's. Mountain areas can expect low temperatures in the 30's and high temperatures in the 60's to 70's. Winds will be out of the Northwest to around 10mph.

An area of low pressure will track across the Pacific Northwest on Wednesday and that will bring a chance for light showers to the far North portions of our region. The majority of Northern California will just see an increase in clouds, but the North Valley and mountain areas can expect a decent chance for at least a little wet weather. Temperatures will be similar to Tuesday on Wednesday. The low passes off to our East on Thursday and we'll continue our warming trend into your weekend. Valley areas can expect low temperatures in the mid to high 50's and high temperatures in the mid to high 80's from Friday through Sunday. Foothill areas will have low temperatures in the 50's to low 60's and high temperatures in the mid 70's to low 80's from Friday through Sunday. Mountain areas will have low tmeperatures in the 30's to 40's and high temperatures in the low to mid 70's for the end of your work week and this weekend. The dry and warm weathr is expected to persist through the start of next week.
