Today is going to be a nice day. Whether you want to go for a run or walk the dog, the weather will cooperate. Highs in the mid-to-upper 60s across the Valley with mostly sunny skies. Clouds increase into the evening and overnight hours.

Two storms bring widespread valley showers and significant mountain snow Saturday - Tuesday. The first storm moves in on Saturday. Snow and rain will be light to moderate with about 4-8 inches of snow accumulatiuon in total. Snow levels will generally range from 5000 ft to 4000 ft.

The second storm moves in on Sunday as the Saturday system moves off. The heaviest rain will be on Sunday with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Late-season heavy snow will also be possible with snow rates as heavy as 2 in/hr. Snow levels will be lower Monday, with snow falling between 4500-3500 ft in the Sierra and down to 3000 ft in the Coastal Ranges.

The storm moves off to the South by Monday but wil still bring some showers & snow on Monday. A few isolated showers will be possible by Tuesday, then we dry out by Wednesday. In total, I expect about 1-3 feet of snow above 4500 feet and 1-2 inches of rain in the Valley.
