Today has been a very cool day out there, most only in the 60s in the Valley and tonight we'll drop into the 30s for most in the Valley. Wind has also been high today and will drop somehwat overnight. Tomorrow won't be nearly as windy but we'll still see gusts in the 30s and dry conditions remain. The Wind Advisory has been extended into part of the Sierra and last until 5am whereas it will expire at 11pm in the Valley. The Red Flag Warning will also remain in effect until tomorrow.
The big system to our Northeast that has been bringing us gusty winds, elevating fire danger, will be moving away on Wednesday and no longer influence winds by Thursday. Thus, fire danger will be reduced on Thursday due to only light winds expected from the North. Fire danger remains low for the remainer of the week, into the weekend, despite dry conditions, since winds are expected to stay low. The ridge of high pressure that settles over us will keep us sunny but also warm us up into the upper-70s to low-80s by the weekend.
