Storm Tracker Forecast: Heat advisories today & tomorrow for some

Extreme heat today and tomorrow with heat advisories issued for parts of Shasta and Tehema counties but temperatures take a dip later in the week.

Starting your day off in the 70s but quickly rising to triple digits across the valley today with a heat advisory in place for parts of Shasta and Tehema Co. starting noon Monday through midnight Tuesday.

As we get to Wednesday, the high pressure system keeping us hot and sunny retreats back to the 'Four Corners' region. This is because of a low-pressure system forming out in the Pacific. This 'low' will bring a return of the Delta Breeze which will cool us of back into the 90s and maybe even low-90s by the weekend as the low-pressure system gets closer to the North State. A few clouds are also in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.

Sunday was a bright and toasty day for northern California, with the warmest highs we've experienced since October 2020, with valley highs in the upper 80s and 90s. Monday will be slightly cooler.
