Yesterday nearly everyone reach the 90s and today nearly everyone will reach the 100s. An EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING is in effect today and will last through Thursday, at least. It will also be sunny today with light winds.

The EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING means it is easy to become susceptible to heat related illness if you do not take the proper precautions, espcially for those who at a greater risk. Stay hydrated, wear light, thin clothing, stay indoors if possible, it will be hot between 10am and 8pm and look before you lock the car doors.

Today highs wil be near 100. Temperatures climb little by little each day. 100-103 will be possible tomorrow, 101-104 will be possible on Wednesday and then finally 102-106 could be likely on Thursday.

There is no excessive heat warning on Friday but it is possible one could be issued. Highs could still reach 100 if not the upper-90s in the Valley.

A cut off distubance from the southwest in the Pacific swing into NorCal on Saturday providing ample moisture for thunderstorm development and cool us back into the 80s. Some might only see the 70s on Sunday. But before we get there, we've still got to endure the first significant heat wave of the season.

We were frying on Friday around northern California and the extreme heat will continue through Father's Day. Please stay cool in this hot weather and be cautious due to our increased fire danger through the weekend.
