Storm Tracker Forecast: Dry & warmer weather ahead for your Easter Weekend

We'll continue to be cloudy with a slight chance for showers in portions of Northern California tonight. Skies will be clearing out and temperatures will be warming up as we head into your Easter Weekend.

We've been cloudy in the valley and foothills today, but our higher elevations have had mostly clear skies. We'll continue to have clouds over our region tonight, and a very slight chance for some light showers. The main threat of showers will be staying to our South moving forward. Skies will be cloudy tonight but will clear out as we head into your Friday morning. Temepratures have been much cooler in the valley today but have stayed fairly warm under the mostly clear skies in the mountains. Valley high temepratures topped out in the 50's to 60's this afternoon, while mountain areas ended up in the 60's to 70's. WInds have mostly been out of the South up to around 15mph this afternoon.

Sunny to mostly sunny skies, and warmer temperatures are on the way for your Friday. Valley areas will dip into the 40's to low 50's overnight and mountain areas can expect temperatures to start out in the 30's to 40's tomorrow. Foothill areas will dip into the mid to high 40's for the start of your Friday and will end up in the mid 60's. Winds will be up to around 10mph out of the North on Friday.

The trend of warm temperatures, sunny to mostly sunny skies, and dry weather will continue through your Easter Weekend and the start of next week. Valley areas can expect low temperatures in the 40's to low 50's, and high temperatures in the 70's to low 80's during that time. Mountain areas can expect low temperatures in the mid 30's to low 40's, and high temperatures in the 60's to low 70's. There will also be a very slight chance for some scattered showers in the Sierra on Sunday and Monday as low pressure drops into the Rockies to our East. Foothill areas will have mornings in the 40's to low 50's and afternoons in teh 60's to low 70's from Saturday through the middle of next week. There will be periods of gusty North winds possible on Monday and the middle of next week. The current outlook keeps us dry with very warm temperatures through your extended forecast, but there are some disagreements in longer term models that do bring a chance for slightly cooler temperatures and light showers back to our region for the latter part of next week.
