Make sure to have your coats as yo head out this morning. It is very cold in the mid-to-low 30s with some even dropping to the freezing point in the Valley with mountian Valleys getting in the teens. Highs today in the Valley will reach the mid-50s with sunny skies. No rain in the forecast today. Tonights lows wil get cold again (mid-30s).
Tuesday will be a little cooler with Valley highs in the low-50s and partly cloudy skies. Mostly cloudy skies by Wednesday with highs near 50 (possibly only reaching the upper-40s). Its possible a few could see a light shower, but very unlikely, even in mountain locations.
By Thursday, a system moves in the area giving very light snow chances in the mountains and light rain chances in the Valley with mostky cloudy skies persisting. Friday will still be cloudy with highs in the 50s but no rain chances due to a temporary high pressure system keeping the moisture levels down.
Saturday the next wet system moves in, bringing the possibility for widespread light showers in the Valley. Snow levels start at 6500 feet Saturday morning and drop to 4500 feet by Sunday. This could cause mountain travel issues for those trave;ling the weekend before Christmas. Rain chances stick around on Sunday but the showers will become more scattered as the winter system weakens.
