Rain will be light & scattered Christmas morning and Christmas afternoon. By the evening, the rain clears with lingering cloud cover.
The next few days, overnight lows will get near freezing if not below freezing in the Valley with clear nights and sunny days Thurday through Saturday. Highs will stay in the 50s the rest of the week after today.

Dry weather follows afeter Sunday with a return to more sunshine. Average high temperatures hold to round out the new year near the mid-50s in the Valley. New Years Eve will see highs in the mid-50s with mostly sunny skies and dry weather. Overnight lows will be near 40.
