Get ready for another chilly start to the day on this Tuesday morning. A Freeze Warning is in effect for the valley through 8am. Temperatures are starting out in the upper 20's to mid 30's in the valley and foothills, while mountain areas are in the teens to low 30's early today. Winds will be up to 10mph out of variable directions through the day, so nowhere near as strong as yesterday. High temperatures will top out in the upper 50's to mid 60's in the valley, and in the 40's to mid 50's in the foothills and mountains this afternoon. Skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy through the day.
Clouds will continue to increase from Wednesday into Thursday, but we'll be staying dry until late in the afternoon on Thursday. Temperatures will not change much from today through Thursday either. Low pressure tracking towards our region from the Pacific will bring a shot of rain and snow showers to our region on Thursday afternoon through Friday. Snow levels are projected to end up down to around 5000'. Low temperatures will end up several degrees warmer on Friday morning, but high temperatures will be cooler than earlier in the week.
Wet weather will mostly linger in the mountains on Saturday, with some light showers possible in the valley. Showers will mostly linger in the mountains on Sunday as another wet system approaches. Showers will be possible from Sunday through early Monday from that system. A break from the wet weather is expected on Monday, but models are hinting at yet another wet system on track to bring showers to northern California on Tuesday of next week.
