Storm Tracker Forecast: Average temperatures return to the North State

Average temperatures return to the North State with great temperatures in store for next week.

Posted: Aug 29, 2019 7:15 AM

Many fires were started yesterday due to all of the lightning we saw. We will see no more rain today except for a slight chance in Trinity and Siskiyou counties. We will be watching the fires closely as things look to dry out today and winds could get gusty in mountain locations.

Today is cooler and will stay that way for the next few days as we sit inbetween a high and low pressure system. Trinity and Siskiyou county could see a few showers today but otherwise the North State is looking dry.

The clouds leave us the rest of the week and tempeartures stay moderated over the weekend but once we reach next week, we could see temps dropping into the low-90s.

The Red Flag Warning continues through Thursday morning, but very pleasant weather is ahead for the remainder of this week. Cooler temperatures and a decent chance for showers return next week.
