Everyone remains dry today. We've got valley highs reaching the upper-80s for most. A 90 here or there can't be ruled out. Mountain cities look to reach the mid-70s for most. Today will also sunny with increasing clouds in the evening and night as a system passes to the North.
This weekend the ridge of high pressure that has been keeping us dry and warm weakens a little. We'll still be in the mid-80s but the weakend ridge should allow for some more cloud cover on the weekend. Sadly, no rain though.
Next week we are expecting intense heat for April standards, with record highs possibly being broken. Valley highs reach the upper-80s to 90 degrees on Monday then could soar into the mid-90s for Tuesday & Wednesday. Got the sunscreen ready? The last time a heat wave happened this early was in 2013. By Wednesday we cool back down as the ridge of high pressure moves off to the East.
