Storm Tracker Forecast: Heating up next week

Warmer & sunnier weather settles in next week. Only a slight chance for showers in our northern counties on Monday.

Today the Sierra-Cascades saw partly cloudy skies with comfortable temperatures and sunshine and 80s in the valleyMonday a disturbance will pass to the north which will lead to increasing cloud cover north. A few showers may be possible in our northern counties, maybe even in the north valley.

Tuesday will see full sunshine again with highs back in the mid-80s. By Wednesday temperatures return to the low-90s and stay there for Thursdays highs as well. We keep the temperatures steadily warm with sunshine as we approach next weekend. By the time we get to next weekend highs will be back in the low-to-mid 90s.

Gusty winds and very dry conditions will drive high fire danger across northern California on Thursday. We'll also end up much cooler on Thursday afternoon. Lighter winds, hotter temperatures, and more widespread impacts to air quality are ahead for Friday and Saturday.
