Temperatures were mild in the 50s today with mostly cloudy skies across our region. Gray & glooming, basically.

Tonight will be very cold in the valley with mid-to-low 30s and mountains well below freezing again.

Sunday will be one of the warmest days of the week which is ironic given winter starts officially on Monday. Valley highs should reach the low-60s with sunny skies.

Monday will be mostly sunny with highs back in the upper-50s.

Showers & high elevation snow could move in overnight Monday into Tuesday morning only for our mountainous areas to the North and maybe the north vallley. Precipitation will be light and quick.

Tuesday & Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs remaining in the upper-50s.

Thursday is Christmas Eve. The weather will be magical with partly cloudy skies, highs in the mid-50s, overnight lows near freezing. Definitely a hot chocolate kind of night. Santa will be dressed extra warm that night.

Christmas Day will be great for some and awful for others. Why do I say that? Some will see a wet Christmas while others could see a White Christmas! Showers will move in Christmas Day and could last into or even strengthen on Saturday. The valley could have a wet Christmas, though chances are still up in the air at the point. The mountains should see more snow. White Christmas predictions are still hard to pinpoint since snow levels are uncertain right now, but should come into better view in a few days. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 50s.

Thursday was the last fairly quiet weather day that we'll have in northern California as a series of storms will move our way through next week. Our first chance for rain and snow showers arrives Friday morning with a cold front.
