Today has been another day under an extreme heat wave which will continue tomorrow with some getting around 110 degrees.
A RED FLAG WARNING is in place tomorrow due to thunderstorms that could form in the morning. Dry thunderstorms will be likely but isolated, however, could still lead to lightning-caused fires. Even the Valley could see some of these thunderstorms. This warning is for all mountain & valley locations.
An EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING will remain in effect through at least Wednesday and could extend beyond that a it gets closer. Each day will see widespread triple-digits in the Valley and mid-to-upper 90s possible in the mountains. Some in the Valley could top off at 112 or 113 degrees on some days. Poor overnight temperature recovery could also lead to heat stress.
A strong ridge of higjh pressure is contributing the the strong heat wave and a disturbance that is moving along the ridge is what will bring the chance for dry thunderstorms tomorrow.
Triple-digits highs might finally end for some by next weekend but ist still a little too far away to tell for sure.
