No Red Flag Warnings today but relative humidity values will still be low, leading to high fire danger today and this weekend. Good news is wind speeds should not be as strong, so that will prevent fast-spreading fires.
Saturday we have highs in the upper-90s to triple digits with highs on Sunday likely within the triple-digits across the Valley. Lows will also be in the upper-60s to lower 70s this weekend. This hot weather is due to a high pressure system from the Four Corners region building into our area. But good news is in sight.
By Monday we can expect a downward trend in temperatures to begin. A low pressure system will form over the Pacific, just off the coast of Washington. It will strengthen Tuesday-Friday and move closer to the North State. As it does so, it will bump the high pressure system out of our region and back towards New Mexico and Texas. By Friday we can expect high temperatures to be in the low-90s in the Valley if not in the upper-80s for a few in the Valley. We can also expct a few clouds in the Valley a few days next week with increasing clouds in mountain areas.
