Merry Christmas everyone. Our collective Christmas gift this year was valley rain and mountain snow, and it will be the gift that keeps on giving. We'll have more rain and mountain snow tonight and Saturdary morning, with fewer afternoon clouds. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings continue through the morning and afternoon for the higher terrain. Please be careful on the wet and snowy roads. Mountain road travel is discouraged. Tonight we can expect more breezes, valley rain and mountain snow. Lows will range from the 20s in the mountains to the 30s and lower 40s in the foothills and valley. Saturday will bring morning showers and afternoon sunbreaks with highs in the 40s and 50s for everyone.
We'll have a break from the active weather late Saturday through much of Sunday before another storm moves in from the Pacific. It will bring more valley rain and mountain snow late Sunday and part of Monday. Most of us will have drier weather late Monday and Tuesday as another storm misses to the north, but some showers are possible. Two more rounds of rain and mountain snow are looking more likely again late Wednesday as well as next Thursday and Friday, so we may end 2020 and begin 2021 with more much-needed valley rain and mountain snow. Overnight lows will remain seasonably chilly ranging from the teens to the lower 40s. Highs for all areas will range from the 40s in the mountains to the 50s in the valley.
