We had quiet, mild and beautiful weather today in northern California! The chilly start didn't allow us to warm to seasonable levels, however. We will have more clouds in our sky Wednesday morning, ahead of our next chance of rain and snow. This evening will begin fairly clear due to a ridge of high pressure overhead, but a Pacific storm is approaching the West Coast, and we'll have increasing clouds late tonight through Wednesday. Lows won't be quite as chilly Wednesday morning, ranging from the 10s and 20s in the mountains to the 30s and 40s in the valley and foothills. Wednesday will be a partly to mostly cloudy day but it will remain dry. Highs will stay below average with 40s in the mountains, 50s and lower 60s in the valley.

Our next good chance of valley rain and mountain snow will arrive on Thursday, along with stronger breezes and another cooling of our highs. Valley rain and mountain snow showers are in the forecast Friday, with lingering mainly mountain showers on Saturday. A small ridge of high pressure will bring more sun and warmth on Sunday, with temperatures back to seasonable levels for the first time in a long time. Another fast-moving storm will bring lighter amounts of valley rain and mountain snow on Monday along with more breezes. We can expect clearing Tuesday with stronger, gusty wind and warmer temperatures. Valley highs will dip back down into the lower and mid 50s late this week before returning to the 60s next week.
