More "Chamber of Commerce" weather for northern California today with sunshine, blue sky, and warm temperatures! The sunshine and warmth will continue, but unfortunately the wind will strengthen and our fire danger will increase greatly. A Red Flag Warning begins Wednesday morning and continues through Friday morning. Tonight will be a mostly clear to clear night with fairly seasonable overnight lows ranging from the 30s and 40s in the mountains to the 50s and 60s in the foothills and the valley. Wednesday will be windy and warmer with higher fire danger for most areas. Highs will range from the 70s and 80s in the mountains to the 80s and 90s in the foothills and the valley.
The ridge of high pressure bringing all the sunshine and heat on Wednesday will stay in control of our weather pattern through at least Saturday. It won't be as windy on Thursday and Friday compared to Wednesday, but breezes will continue both days. Saturday will be sunny and still hot with weaker wind. The ridge will begin breaking down Sunday, and it won't be as strong through early next week. Highs will stay above average through the next 7 days, however, and there are no good chances for rain for over a week. Lows will remain seasonably cool in the mountains and mild in the foothills and valley. Highs will be mainly in the 80s and 90s, with Friday being the hottest day for more areas.
