OROVILLE, Calif. - Six storage units were destroyed by a fire in Oroville around 1 p.m. on Monday.
Firefighters responded quickly to the storage unit fire at Another Self-Storage on Lincoln Blvd. in Oroville. When crews first arrived they found approximately six units with heavy smoke coming from them.

One man who works across the street ran over with the owner of the property and started putting out the flames with a hose. Richard Maroney said he ran over quickly because behind the storage units there is nothing besides dry field and grass, worrying that it would spread.
Crews made an aggressive attack and put the fires out within 20 minutes.
Units remained on the scene to fully ensure the overhaul of any potential hot spots.
The owner of the property said that most of the units were his.
Nobody was injured but The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
