The warming trend is going to continue across Northern California today and skies will be mostly sunny. Looks like most areas can expect to start out a few degrees warmer than yesterday morning, and can expect high temperatures to end up a degree or two warmer than yesterday. Skies are clear for the start of your Friday morning, and temperatures are slightly warmer than 24 hours ago. Temperatures have dipped into the high 40's to mid 50's in the valley overnight, and into the mid 30's to low 40's in most mountain areas. Winds are starting out out of the Northeast to around 10mph early today, but are mostly expected to be light. Humidity will dip back into the 15 to 30 percent range later today, and the dry conditions will keep fire danger as a concern today. High temperatures are projected to climb into the 83 to 87 degree range in the valley this afternoon, while mountain areas top out in the high 60's to high 70's. Conditions look great for High School Football tonight, with temperatures hovering in the low to mid 70's in the valley during kick off time, and ending up in the mid 60's by the time the final whistle blows. We will be staying dry tonight. Looks like an ideal evening for the Almond Bowl!
Temperatures are expected to stay warm on Saturday, and most areas will have high temperatures within a degree of Friday afternoon. A cooling trend, and the potential for mountain showers will return on Sunday. The best chance for showers will be along the Northwest Coast of California, and will extend inland through the Northern Mountains on Sunday. There will also be a chance for some showers in the Sierra and Cascades on Monday. Temperatures will be back in the mid to high 70's in the valley on Sunday and will then drop into the low to mid 70's in the valley on Monday. Winds will be picking up out of the North for the start of next week, and that will result in an increase in fire danger. Temperatures will warm back into the high 70's on Tuesday and then back into the low 80's for Halloween on Wednesday. Skies will be clearing and you can expect above average temperatures, and dry weather to continue through the end of next week.
