Get ready for another hot day across Northern California. Temperatures are projected to end up 10 to 20 degrees warmer than average this afternoon, and we'll be stayind mostly sunny today. Make sure to stay hydrated, dress for the warmer temperatures, and grab your sunglasses before you head out the door today. Temperatures are starting out very warm this morning. Valley area have only dipped into the mid 60's overnight, and mountain areas are starting out in the 40's to 50's this morning. Winds will be out of the North to around 15mph today. High temperatures are projected to climb into the high 80's to low 90's in the valley this afternoon, and mountain areas will top out in the 70's to 80's later today. Skies will be mostly sunny but a few clouds could brush across our region this afternoon. There is a very slight chance for an isolated thunderstorm to pop up along the Sierra crest this evening, but that threat does not look promising.

Thursday looks very similar to what's in store for your Wednesday. Temperatures will mostly top out in the high 80's for the valley under mostly sunny skies. Winds will stay out of the North, and we'll be dry. A modest cooling trend is expected to settle into Northern California on Friday and will ramp up this weekend. Valley high temperatures will end up in the mid 80's on Friday afternoon, which is great news for anyone heading out to the Kool April Nites cruise. We'll be staying dry through the weekend, with temperatures continuing to fall into next week. High temperatures will be in the low 80's in the valley on Saturday, mid to high 70's in the valley on Sunday, and then into the low to mid 70's for the start of next week. Dry weather is expected to continue through your entire extended forecast.

Dense fog has developed across parts of northern California Monday morning and the potential for light showers will return today. We'll dry out and warm up on Tuesday, but more cool and wet weather is expected mid week. A more substantial wet system is currently projected to move into our region this weekend.
