Keep those sunglasses handy, and make sure you dress for a warmer afternoon across Northern California. The only change on the way for today will be a few more clouds brushing across the region, and a slightly warmer start to the day. Valley areas have dipped into the mid 50's to low 60's overnight, and mountain areas are starting out in the high 30's to mid 40's for your Friday morning. Doesn't look like you'll be needing that jacket in most areas this morning, and you certainly won't be wanting it this afternoon. Skies are projected to be mostly sunny today, and humidity will dip to as low as 20% this afternoon. Winds are out of the East this morning, but will be out of the South to 10mph this afternoon. High temperatures will end up in the mid 80's in the valley this afternoon, and in the 70's to low 80's in the mountains. More clouds will fill into the region tonight.
Partly cloudy skies are expected for the start of your Saturday, and that could help to keep temperatures a little warmer for your Saturday morning. Clouds will increase through the day, with some areas becoming mostly cloudy. Despite the increase of clouds, temperatures are still expected to end up slightly warmer than today. Previous models were hinting at a chance for showers in the mountains this weekend, but that does not look as likely now. The latest models have showers staying to our North through the weekend. We will see a modest dip in temperatures on Sunday, but temperatures will stay above average.
Very warm and dry weather is on the way for the start of next week. Valley areas will be in the high 80's to low 90's on Monday and Tuesday. There will be a slight chance for mountain showers and thunderstorms returning to the Northern Mountains Tuesday evening. A sharp drop in high temperatures is expected for your Wednesday, and showers will become a bit more likely in the mountains. Looks like that chance for showers will more than likely wrap up late Wednesday, and another warming trend will return for the end of next week.
