KHSL - Rebuilding Paradise, a documentary directed by award-winning Ron Howard, was screened to a special audience of Camp Fire survivors this Saturday.

The film has not yet been released to the public, but a special screening was made available online to Camp Fire survivors Saturday.

Action News Now spoke to Camp Fire survivor and former Paradise Mayor, Steve Woody Culleton, who is in the film. He along with some other survivors and producers met virtually after the showing.

Rebuilding Paradise was produced by National Geographic and directed by Academy award-winning director Ron Howard who describes it as a story of resilience in the face of tragedy after the deadly Camp Fire.

Culleton said although it is hard to relive those memories, the film also shows their strength.

Cloudy skies and very light scattered showers are lingering across northern California for the start of your Wednesday, but we'll be clearing out and warming up Wednesday afternoon. We'll be sunny and warmer on Thursday, but clouds will increase Friday. More showers are looking likely Friday night into Saturday, but we'll dry out again for Halloween on Sunday.
