UPDATE: 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 30 - An early morning crash near Red Bluff left a San Diego woman seriously injured.
The wreck happened on Interstate 5, just south of South Main Street.
Officers say two cars went south on the highway at around 6:30 a.m. and collided - hitting a guardrail as well.
An ambulance took one woman to the hospital with major injuries. Nobody else was seriously hurt.
The crash closed that portion of the highway for a few minutes until one-way traffic was in place.
Action News Now is working to find out the circumstances leading up to this crash.
RED BLUFF, Calif. - Caltrans announced via Twitter just after 7 a.m. Tuesday that a multi-car crash blocked southbound I-5 just south of South Main St. in Red Bluff.
Shortly after, Caltrans reported the far left lane is the only lane that remains blocked at this time.
UPDATE - 7:55 am - SB TEH 5 The #2 & 3 lanes are OPEN at this time. The #1 lane remains BLOCKED just south of S. Main due to a multi vehicle traffic collision.
