Some Pet Survivors of Camp Fire Get New Homes

Eight dogs and three cats surrendered by their owners after the Camp Fire arrived in San Diego overnight to be adopted.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Eight dogs and three cats surrendered by their owners after the Camp Fire arrived in San Diego overnight to be adopted.

The Humane Society Team deployed to Butte County for 10 days to rescue the pets. 

They also spent time tending to animals injured by the fire.

The pets will undergo medical and behavioral screening before being adopted out.
