Solo vehicle crash ejects, kills driver on Interstate-5

One person is dead after their vehicle crashed into the center divider and the person was ejected from the vehicle.

GLENN COUNTY, Calif. - One person died in a crash on Interstate-5 Thursday afternoon in the area of County Rd. 48, California Highway Patrol Willows said.

CHP said officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate-5 around 1:31 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle after crashing into the middle divider. The vehicle came to a stop near County Rd. 48.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic slowed in the area but never closed. 

The crash remains under investigation and the identity of the person is unknown at this time.
