SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. - Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing teen from the Fort Jones area.

On Saturday, August 3, a group home in the Fort Jones area reported 16-year-old Jessie Starkey had walked away from the home on 5100 block of Lighthill Road.

Starkey is considered endangered and may be with an adult male companion.

She was last seen wearing faded blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt, and wearing a baseball cap backward. She has mid-length red hair, is 5'5" and weighs about 180 pounds.

The Sheriff's office responded to some areas since her disappearance but she was not located.

Sheriff's investigators have spoken with associates and family of Starkey and indicators may place her in Sonoma County, where she had previously lived.

“We are very concerned about Jessie’s welfare and need the publics help locating her. Anyone with any information about Jessie’s whereabouts is urged to contact the SCSO’s 24-hour Dispatch Center at (530) 841-2900," said Sheriff Jon Lopey.
