Missing Siskiyou County Woman Found in Weed

The Weed Police Department located a Siskiyou County woman that had been missing since Jan. 6.

UPDATE 2:11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 - Rose-Marie Mcneal, 52, of Dunsmuir, was found alive on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the 200 block of Main Street in Weed, CA. 

She was reported missing by a family member on Sunday, Jan. 6, and told police that she had not been seen since Friday, Jan. 4.

Mcneal told investigators that the night she went missing she got lost in a wooded area and eventually found shelter with a family in Carrick. She then later traveled to Weed, where she was found by the Weed Police Department. 

She was then transported to a relative's home in Dunsmuir where she remains in good health. The department initially stated that she may have disappeared under suspicious circumstances due to a number of factors in the investigation.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. - The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a missing woman.

Rose-Marie Mcneal was last seen on Maple Street in Carrick, a small town near Weed. 

The sheriff's office describes Mcneal's disappearance as suspicious and says she may be in danger.
