OROVILLE, Calif. – The holiday season is here, and the Sierra Oro Farm Trail is launching its Holiday Tasting Box. A good way to support Butte County family farms and wineries.

The Sierra Oro Farm Trail has hand-selected its favorite local holiday wines, beautifully paired with direct-from-the-farm holiday food items in the first-ever Sierra Oro Farm Trail holiday tasting boxes.

The wine selections and artisanal foods are festive and tasting boxes are bountiful. Options come in a variety of price and size options starting at $59.99. An assortment of hand-selected local wines can be purchased as part of a tasting box, or in wine sampler packs, said Sierra Oro in a news release. Buyers can choose from six reds or six whites, or a case of twelve bottles from Butte County’s favorite wineries.

Sierra Oro is also offering a food-only box that doesn’t include alcohol.

“Your one-stop shopping experience can be done with a ‘click’ without leaving your home or office,” said Nicole Johansson, organizer of the Sierra Oro Farm Trail. “It’s a gift you can feel good about because you’ll be supporting our local farms and boutique wineries who’ve suffered tremendous losses through the wildfires and business closures during the pandemic.”

To order a tasting box or a wine sampler, visit the Sierra Oro website. The first 600 Food & Beverage tasting boxes will also feature Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s newly released Farm Trail Harvest Baltic Porter, a California-exclusive.

A cold front has moved over northern California on this day before Thanksgiving, and it brought light rain and snow showers to the higher terrain, gusty wind and cooler air for all. Thanksgiving will still be breezy, but also mild and pleasant.
