CHICO, Calif. - The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company has announced they will be closing all guest experiences starting Sunday, March 15 through March 22 due to coronavirus concerns.

In a statement shared on their website and throughout their social media, the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company based in Chico will be closing all guest experiences in both their breweries and their Berkeley Torpedo Taproom.

In their statement, they specify the "Chico and Mills River taprooms, tours and gift shops, and the Berkeley Torpedo Room" will all be closed during this time.

They say that during this shutdown they will be "temporarily reconfiguring the restaurants and gift stores to allow for more space between tables/displays to promote greater 'social distancing', cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and surfaces, and providing special training to employees on additional best practices where appropriate."

They say that unless circumstances change they plan on reopening to the public Monday, March 23 and all their employees will continue to receive payment and benefits throughout this time.

The weather will be pulling a 180 as we head into the evening hours and kick off our work week. A north wind will be taking hold, bringing gusty conditions and increased fire danger to the valley, foothills, and the Sierra Mountains. Gusts between 25-35mph are possible from late this evening through Monday night for the valley while the foothills and the Sierra will continue to see the windy conditions through Tuesday morning. This has prompted a Red Flag Warning for the Valley 11pm tonight through 8pm Monday while the Sierra and Foothills will last through Tuesday morning.
