CHICO, Calif. - Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico announced on social media it will keep its business closed through October.
The brewery said it decided against plans to reopen this month because of the nationwide spike in COVID-19 cases.
"I think it's a very wise choice, so that they don't spread the virus even more, it's a very wise choice on Sierra Nevada's part," said Georgie Brown, who lives in Chico. "Dining in, even if you're six-feet away or wearing masks - still closing down would be the most wise choice."
The restaurant, taprooms and gift shops will be closed for indoor visitors through October.
Curbside pickup, taproom take out and online beer orders will all resume Wednesday, July 8.
