Some light showers will be possible across Northern California this morning, but clearing skies and warmer temperatures are ahead for your Tuesday afternoon. The potential for more showers has kept the Winter Weather Advisory in place for portions of the Sierra through 11am this morning. Roads will likely be slick from the recent rain and snow overnight, and drivers are encouraged to give themselves extra time to get to where they're going this morning. Temperatures have dipped into the 40's to low 50's in the valley overnight, and into the 30's to 40's in the mountains this morning. Winds are still out of the South this morning, but will be shifting to become out of the North to 10mph this afternoon. Skies will go from mostly cloudy this morning to mostly sunny this afternoon. High temperatures will top out in the mid 60's to low 70's in the valley this afternoon, and into the 50's to 60's in the mountains later today.
Dry weather and a substantial warming trend will be ahead for your mid to late week forecast. Valley areas will climb back into the high 70's to low 80's on Tuesday afternoon, and then into the mid 80's on Thursday and Friday. Skies are expected to be sunny to mostly sunny for the remainder of the work week. Don't forget to stay hydrated when the temperatures warm up over the next few days. A wet and cooler system will be passing through to our North this weekend, and some showers could potentially sag into our mountain areas on Saturday. Temperatures will cool back into the mid 70's in the valley on Saturday. Clearing skies and warmer temperatures will return for your Easter Sunday forecast. Valley areas are currently projected to climb back into the low 80's with mostly sunny skies on Sunday. The dry and warm weather will persist into the early portion of next week.
