Redding, Calif.—The Redding Civic Auditorium is the place to be to see more than 100 classic cars for one of many Kool April Nights Show and Shine events.
Cross Petroleum of Redding hosted the event for the 15th straight year.
The show started off small and quickly expanded in the last few years to the size it is now.
Jim Cross the Vice President of Wholesale Operations at Cross Petroleum said,”We used to have it at one of the local service stations in town, and then our show kind of outgrew the space. And so then we teamed up with Kool April Nights to have it here at the convention center I think for the last three or four years. And that's really enabled us to expand the cars from 60 or 80 to well over 100 cars today.”
Organizers say it’s probably one of the biggest shows, second only to the Macy’s Show and Shine happening Thursday.
Spectators Wednesday were treated to free ice cream and a chance to vote for the fan favorite.
Cross Petroleum had their own entry, a 1946 Chevrolet flatbed truck.
