CHICO - The Chico Police Department is investigating how bullets struck a residence on Sunday morning at a suburban area of Chico.

According to CPD officials, the incident happened just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Terrace Drive and East First Avenue where officers responded to a call regarding shots being fired.

Officers checked the location but were unable to locate any evidence, but three hours later, a resident in the same area called police to say that they woke up to find bullet holes in their home, according to CPD.

Officials said no one was injured inside the residence at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call CPD at (530)-897-4900.
