Sheriff Honea swears in two new deputies, including his own daughter

Sheriff Honea swore in his daughter, Deputy Kassidy Honea, on Dec. 13.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A swearing-in ceremony was held on Dec. 13 for the Butte County Sheriff's Office's two newest deputies, including Deputy Kassidy Honea.

She comes to the department as a lateral officer, formerly with Paradise Police.

Sheriff Honea swore his daughter in and pinned her badge.

Deputy Kyle Fontes, a graduate of the Butte Law Enforcement Academy, was also sworn in.
