BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - The Butte County Sheriff's Office announced Friday afternoon that all visitation to the Butte County Jail is suspended.
This comes after 29 coronavirus cases were confirmed among inmates in the jail. The sheriff's office said the suspension is effective immediately, including all general public, ministry, and programs.
"We will continue to allow legal and medical visits through barrier only," BCSO said via Facebook. "All individuals shall wear a mask at all times. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the recommendations of health officials. We will allow visitation when it can be accomplished safely for our inmates and our community."
