SHASTA LAKE, Calif. - Shasta County deputies received information about a stabbing that happened on the 1100 block of Shasta Way, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies received the call around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two people with non-life-threatening stab wounds and were treated by medical personnel.

Justin Forbes, 33, and Brandon Wible, 21, of Shasta Lake were contacted by deputies.

Wible said told deputies he got a threatening phone call from someone he knew, 20-year-old Thor Turnbaugh of Redding.

Turnbaugh threatened to kick in the door of Wible's residence in Shasta Lake. Wible responded to the residence.

When he arrived, Wible was met by Turnbaugh and his brother, Zeth, in the driveway. The brothers began assaulting Wible for unknown reasons.

Forbes ran out to the driveway to attempt to stop the assault. Forbes and Wible noticed Zeth had a knife in his hand and were stabbed.

Thor and Zeth left the scene in their vehicle but were later found by deputies and booked into jail for assault with a deadly weapon.

It took a few hours, but the sun broke through the clouds over most of northern California Tuesday afternoon. The low clouds, fog and light rain showers return to the valley Wednesday, with snowy weather in the mountains.
