Shasta District Fair canceled, Jr. Livestock Sale will go on

The Shasta District Fair and Event Center Board of Directors and Fair Management said they have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Shasta District Fair.

ANDERSON, Calif. – The Shasta District Fair and Event Center Board of Directors and Fair Management said they have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Shasta District Fair.

The fair was scheduled for June 24 through 27. Members of the Board of Directors and Fair Management said they made the decision Thursday after during an emergency board meeting.

Board members said they also voted on continuing with the Jr. Livestock Sale. The Shasta District Fair will be working with local and state officials to use the best option available to promote the Jr. Livestock exhibitors, board members said.

The sale will be on June 27, 2020, and further details are expected to be released by board members in the following weeks.

The Shasta District Fair and Event Center Staff said they’re working on refunds for vendors, commercial exhibits, and still exhibits. Contact ceo@sdfeventcenter.com with further questions.
