The northstate is seeing rain, snow and high winds today.

If you're heading to any of the mountain areas you're being advised to carry chains and be prepared for winter driving conditions.

There's even a blizzard warning for the Lake Tahoe area with zero visibility closing interstate 80 from the stateline to Colfax.

This is what it looked like on Interstate five north of Redding this morning where there were reports of a number of spin-outs and other problems.

This car rolled over in a crash just after 10:30 this morning, north on the Shasta Caverns road off ramp.

Dry weather, sunny skies, warmer temperatures, and gusty north winds will drive elevated fire danger today. We'll have even stronger winds, but cooler temperatures on Tuesday. Fire danger will remain elevated. There will also be a chance for light showers in the Sierra on Tuesday and Wednesday.
