SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - Shasta County has administered about 60,000 vaccine doses, Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency said.
The health agency said 41,764, or 29% of people old than 16-years-old, have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
23,532 people of that 16% have been fully vaccinated.
35% of Shasta County residents who are at least 65-years-old are fully vaccinated. Nationwide, this age group is 62% fully vaccinated.
Shasta County public health said the vaccine is available at many locations in Shasta County, including many pharmacies.
They also said Friday’s Pfizer vaccine clinic at Shasta College is for anyone older than age 16. It will be one of the last “mega-clinics” in the county.
